Fake detective rapes woman at home

An Arab expatriate in Saudi Arabia, posing as a detective, entered a house and conducted a thorough search before raping the Asian housewife who was on her own, press reports said on Monday.

The unnamed 30-year-old man has also used fake police documents to enter several houses of expatriate workers in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah and rob them, Masdar said.

Following an intense manhunt, police seized the man after the raped woman provided them with his descriptions.

“The lady recognised him and he confessed to the rape and robberies,” police spokesman Colonel Musfir Al Jaeed said.
