Falcon sold for Dh16,000 in Saudi

A falcon was sold for SR16,000 (Dh16,000) in Saudi Arabia this week, one of the highest prices fetched for such a bird in the Gulf Kingdom.
The bird was sold at a falcon auction in north Saudi Arabia on Thursday and it was attended by scores of falconers from various parts of the Gulf Kingdom.

Other falcons were also sold at the auction, a regular event in Saudi Arabia.
