Falcon sold for Dh270,000 in Saudi
A rare falcon was sold for SR271,000 (Dh270,000) at a bird auction in Saudi Arabia a day after it was captured alive by three falconers.
The falcon, a young Shaheen, was sold at the auction in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah to a well-known falconer, Sabq daily said.
The bird was captured by Mohammed Al Safari and his two cousins after a two-hour chase in a beach area north of the city, it added.
