Filipino dies an hour before converting to Islam

A Filipino worker in Saudi Arabia died while playing volley ball just an hour before he was to formally convert to Islam in the Gulf Kingdom

The young man and two other Filipinos had accepted an invitation by a local preacher at their company to embrace Islam and were told to come to a mosque in the northwestern town of Domat Al Jandal for the religious rites.

“Two of them went to the mosque and converted. The sheikh waited for the third one but he was told later that the man died while playing volley ball,” Al Saudeh daily said without mentioning the causes of death.
