Foul smell leads to dead body

Kuwaiti police smashed their way into an apartment and found a dead body after neighbors reported a foul smell coming from inside for days.

Forensic examination showed the man, a 61-year-old Jordanian expatriate, had been lying dead at his flat in the capital Kuwait City for three days.

The Arabic language daily ‘Al Anba’ quoted police as saying it was a normal death, but it did not mention how the man died.
