A court in Fujairah fined an Arab doctor at a government hospital Dh1,300 for shouting and swearing at an Asian female patient, a newspaper said on Monday.
The court also decided to fine the woman Dh500 for swearing back at the doctor, who first reported her to the police.
The court decided to punish both after witnesses said the doctor first yelled and swore at the woman, who swore back at him.
“The doctor said the woman swore at him while he was writing a prescription for her and that he asked her out so he can do his work, but the woman said he shouted and swore at her before trying to assault her,” ‘Al Khaleej’ daily said.
