Girl dies trying to save drowning nephew

A 20-year-old Saudi girl who was to get married next week died while trying to rescue her little nephew after falling into a pond in the Gulf Kingdom. 

The girl and other members of the family were on a picnic in a valley near the northern town of Arar on Friday when the boy fell into the water. 

“She jumped after him and rescued him…but she got exhausted and drowned…her father jumped and plucked her out but she was already dead,” Okaz daily said.
