Girl saved from death threat by brothers

Saudi Arabia's Islamic police saved the life of a local girl whose brothers had vowed to kill after receiving wrong information that she had been sleeping with men, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Monday.

A relative of the 18-year-old girl from the western town of Taif told her brothers that she had affairs with some men after she refused his advances, Kabar Arabic language daily said.
Her 38-year-old relative provided her brothers with pictures of the girl during a wedding and told them he had got the photos from some men.
Her brothers then decided to kill her but she went to the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice and told them the truth.
"Members of the Commission arrested her relative and told her brothers the truth about him....the girl was saved from death in the last minute."
