A hospital in Saudi Arabia called a local family to remind them about an appointment for physiotherapy session for their grandmother although she died nearly 11 years ago, a newspaper reported on Friday.
The shocked family told the caller to cancel the appointment because the woman has been dead for 11 years following her fall at home in the central town of Qudaih, the Arabic language daily Sharq said.
“They asked us not to forget my grandmother’s appointment next week but we told them that my grandmother died nearly 11 years ago,” her grandson Ali Al Shuwaiki said, adding the woman had treatment at the hospital before her death.
