A Saudi man donated a kidney to his ailing father to save his life, saying he was paying back just part of what his father had given him.
Doctors at King Faisal hospital in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah said Nawaf Al Zahrani ended the long ordeal of his father when he agreed to give him a kidney to replace the father’s damaged organs.
“Doctors said the operation was successful…thanks God the Almighty I could end my father’s suffering and give him back only part of what he had given me,” Nawaf said. “Today I feel very happy because I could show my father how much I love him and appreciate what he had done for me.”
