Groom fights restaurant owner for 'little food'

A Kuwaiti bridegroom broke his wedding party at a local restaurant to engage in a fist fight with the manager after accusing him of failing to give enough food to guests.

The groom said he had paid the restaurant around KD1,850 (Dh23,000) to serve the wedding guests but found that the food quantity was far below its value.

“He went straight to the restaurant manager and punched him, triggering a scuffle in front of the wedding guests,” Alanba daily said.

“The manager phoned the police and filed assault charges against the Kuwait groom,” the paper added. It did not make clear if the groom was taken out of the party.
