Gulf star asks cops not to embarrass him

A popular Gulf national actor was arrested a few days ago for alleged loan default, while he was leaving a restaurant in Kuwait.

When arrested, he reportedly requested officers to release him for some time because he had committed to an important role in a play.

The story, which went viral on social media, shows the actor requesting officers, “Please, don’t embarrass me in front of my director and fans.”

According to reports, police were trying to arrest him for some time, but he was evading arrest. Finally, they got him while he was coming out of a restaurant in Kuwait.

A local bank in Kuwait reportedly filed a complaint against the actor for failing to repay a loan of KD70,000 (approx. Dh851,000).

It is alleged that the actor was fired from his job for not reporting to work for a long time, and thus he could not repay the loan.
