Home party for departing maid in Saudi

A Saudi family gave a home party to its Ethiopian housemaid to say goodbye at the end of her four-year work with them, a newspaper said on Thursday.

“We held a party for her in recognition for her great service and good heart…..we wanted her to stay but she could not for personal reasons,” the maid’s employer Umm Mufleh Al Balwi said, quoted by Sada newspaper.

The paper said the maid was given money and gifts at the party but it did not mention where in Saudi Arabia the family lives.
