Housemaid ends life in bathroom

An Ethiopian housemaid went into the bathroom at her employer’s house in Saudi Arabia, left the shower running, tied a rope to her neck and hanged herself, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Wednesday.

The Saudi family, suspecting there is something wrong after the maid’s long stay inside, broke the bathroom’s door and found her hanging.

Newspapers said the family in the southern town of Barak reported the incident to the police, who said it was a clear suicide case.
