Housemaid leaps to death at dawn

An Ethiopian housemaid in Kuwait committed a suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of a building in the capital at dawn, a local newspaper reported on Sunday.

The maid died instantly when she landed on the ground after leaping down from her employer’s apartment in Salimiyya area in Kuwait City, Alanba said.
Police believe it was a suicide and are investigating the incident to determine the motive for the act, it added.
