Husband murders wife, four kids

A Saudi man used a knife to cut off his wife’s head before slitting the throats of his four children, aged between two and 11 years, in the most heinous crime in his area. He also had a son from a previous marriage who he killed at the same time.

Police said the woman and her children were brought dead to hospital in the southern province of Najran on Monday night after the husband severed her head and slit the throats of his three sons and one daughter.

The boys are aged between five and 11, while the girl is around two.

Just before the father massacred them, he went to his ex-wife’s house and brought his son from that wife to his house, where he murdered them all.

“People who know the man confirmed he is suffering from psychological problems and was treating his children very cruelly,” Okaz daily said.

“Witnesses said that a few days before the murder, the man climbed a podium in a local mosque and started uttering incomprehensible words.”

Man beats son to death

Saudi police arrested a local man accused of beating his 14-year-old son to death, but they did not make clear how he beat him.
Police said they arrested the unnamed man after medical examination at a hospital in the eastern province of Ihsa showed his son was beaten up.

“We are investigating the father to know the reasons for beating his son and whether he used any object that caused the death,” police spokesman Lt Colonel Zaid Al Rakeeti said, quoted by the Arabic language daily Sabq.
