I rid them of bad living conditions: Killer dad

A man in Saudi Arabia used a fruit knife to slaughter his wife and four children, saying he just wanted to rid them of bad living conditions.

The man, a bedouin (without identity) in his 30s, severed his wife’s head at their house in the southern Saudi province of Najran then went into the children’s bedroom and slit the throats of his two little sons and his two-year-old daughter while they were asleep.

He then went to his former wife and brought his 11-year-old son from her house, telling her he was taking him on a picnic. He then took him to a nearby mosque, where they performed evening prayers, before bringing him to his house and slit his throat.

“The man, believed to be suffering of psychological problems, locked his house and went straight to the police to confess…he told them that he committed the crime because he wanted to rid his family of bad living conditions they could face,” the Saudi Arabic language daily Sabq said, quoting police sources.
