I was only joking…says man accused of harrasment

An Arab man who tried to harass a Saudi woman in shopping mall in the Gulf Kingdom told police he was only joking. But the woman rejected his claims.
Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the most feared law enforcement authority in Saudi Arabia, arrested the Arab worker at a women’s clothes shop in the eastern town of Dhahran after a complaint by a female customer that he tried to harass her.
“The man said he did not mean any harm and was only joking,” Sabq Arabic language newspaper said. “But the woman said she does not know him and insisted on filing a complaint against him.”
