King of Saudi Arabia starts visit to Russia

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, today began an official visit to Russia, to discuss issues of common concern with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin.

A statement from the Saudi Royal Court said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques would also be discussing means of strengthening bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Russia in various fields, according to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA.

King Salman expressed his hope to strengthen relations with Russia to serve the interests of both countries and to achieve international peace and security.

Russian Foreign Minister, Saudi counterpart discuss regional developments

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met yesterday with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir in Moscow, on the sidelines of the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia to Russia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, a meeting was held on bilateral relations between the two countries and means of boosting them, in addition to developments in the regional and international arenas.
