King Salman appoints Mohammed bin Nayef as Saudi Crown Prince

The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques Saudi King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz issued a royal decree appointing Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef as Crown Prince.

He will replace his brother Prince Muqrin bin Abd-Al Aziz, ‘Al Bayan’ reported, quoting Saudi official TV early on Wednesday.
 
The royal decree states that Saudi King Salman relieved Crown Prince Muqrin upon his request.
 
Mohammed bin Nayef, who is 55 and the grandson of the founder of Saudi Arabia, is also Minister of Interior.
 
King Salman also appointed Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abd-Al Aziz, as deputy crown prince.
 
Saudi news agency SPA said the Kingdom's Washington ambassador Adel Al Jubeir is to replace foreign minister Prince Saud Al Faisal.

According to the royal decree published on the official Saudi Press Agency that Al Faisal "asked to be relieved from his duties due to his health conditions”.

Also the decree mentioned that Al Faisal was appointed as advisor and special envoy of King Salman, as well as a foreign affairs supervisor.
