A Kuwaiti passenger aircraft heading for Dhaka had to change course and return to Kuwait shortly after takeoff when the pilot noticed there was a crack in the plane’s windshield, a local newspaper reported on Monday.
The Kuwait Airways pilot radioed the control tower at Kuwait’s airport 15 minutes after he took off on Saturday night and told them he was on his way back after noticing the crack, the Arabic language daily Alanba said.
“The plane landed safely and the windshield was replaced….the plane took off an hour alter and headed back to the Bangladesh capital,” the paper said, quoting Mohammed Bursali, Public Relations Director at Kuwait Airways.
