Kuwait arrests 3 Egyptians for planning protests

Kuwaiti police have arrested three Egyptians for attempts to incite anti-Cairo protests by their compatriots in the Gulf emirate, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The three, including two brothers, were caught distributing leaflets urging Egyptians working in Kuwait to stage demonstrations near the Egyptian embassy in Kuwait City, Alanba said.

The leaflets called on Egyptians not to “stay negative and to take to the streets to call for change in their home country,” it said.
The paper quoted security sources as saying precautionary measures had been taken to face any attempt to stage protests in Kuwait.
