Kuwaiti police resorted to the Civil Defence to smash two massive steel doors for a house that was turned into a prostitution den involving more than 30 men and women, a newspaper in the oil-rich Gulf emirate reported on Monday.

Police decided to storm the suspicious house in Farawaniya neighborhood after receiving a report that many men and women flock to the place at night.

Police, quoted by the Arabic language daily ‘Al Anba’, said they arrested 14 women and 20 men and that they all confessed to involvement in prostitution.

The women arrested include eight Indians, two Ethiopians, two Filipinas, a Sri Lankan, and a Nepalese while the men are from India, Sri Lanka and Ethiopia.

“Police said they sought help from the civil defence to smash two massive steel doors at the place which was fortified like a military barracks,” the paper said.
