Mad camel kills ageing owner in Saudi

A camel ran berserk and attacked its 80-year-old Saudi owner, kicking and biting him until it made sure the man was dead, a newspaper reported on Friday.

Police rushed to the area near a farm in the western Saudi town of Yanbu after receiving a call that an old man was lying dead near his camels.

“Preliminary investigation and medical examination showed that the man had been savagely attacked by one of his camels,” Sabq daily said, quoting a police source.

“It seems that the camel went mad for some reason and attacked its owner…it had kept kicking and biting him until it made sure the man was dead.”
