Maid accused of poisoning employers

A Filipina maid was accused of poisoning her Saudi employers and fleeing with her boyfriend, prompting the family’s neighbours to offer a SR50,000 (Dh50,000) reward for anyone who leads to her, a newspaper in the Gulf kingdom reported on Tuesday.

The maid, identified as Paloma Sala, is still on the run and has been in Saudi Arabia for around three months, 'Ajel' Arabic language daily said.

“This maid poisoned my neighbours and fled with her lover…those who can find her and hand her over to the authorities will be given SR50,000,” the paper said, quoting Noha Al Jamhadi, who lives next to that family in capital Riyadh.

The paper said Jamhadi published a copy of the maid’s passport on her Facebook page but that the woman did not say what happened to that family or whether she had informed the police about the incident.
