Maid commits suicide inside wardrobe

An Ethiopian housemaid who had just arrived in Saudi Arabia committed a suicide by hanging herself inside her wardrobe at her employer’s house, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

Her employer had to break into the maid’s room after she failed to answer her calls to come out and clean the kitchen, Okaz Arabic language daily said.

“The woman found her maid dead inside her wardrobe hanging by a rope tied round her neck…police ruled out criminal act,” the paper said in a report from the central town of Almajmaah near the capital Riyadh.
