Maid ends life after taking job in Kuwait

A housemaid committed a suicide by hanging herself at her employer’s house in Kuwait a few days after arriving in the oil-rich Gulf emirate.

Family members found the new maid hanging in her bed room and phoned the police, who took the body to the coroner for examination.

The Arabic language daily Al Watan said the maid has just joined the Kuwaiti family but it did not identify her.
