Maid in failed ‘Fairy’ suicide bid in Saudi

An Ethiopian housemaid tried to commit a suicide by drinking a large quantity of Fairy washing liquid but doctors managed to save her life.

The maid was rushed to hospital in the northeastern town of Saeera in serious condition after she gulped the liquid from a bottle she was using to wash dishes.

Okaz newspaper said police are questioning the maid on her motives.
