An Ethiopian housemaid on Monday is alleged to have killed her employer’s eight-year-old son in Saudi Arabia, a newspaper reported.

The maid used a kitchen knife to stab the boy to death in his room at their house in the central Saudi town of Houta bani Tamim south of the capital Riyadh.

Police found the boy dead in a pool of blood in his room while the maid was in her room still clutching the knife, Sabq daily said.

“Police are still investigating the motives behind the murder,” the paper said, adding that the boy’s parents were not at home at the time of the crime.
