Maid vanishes after delivery

An Ethiopian pregnant housemaid went to a hospital in Kuwait, gave birth a baby boy then vanished, a newspaper reported Saturday.

Police are looking for the maid after investigation showed she was not married and her pregnancy was a result of an illegitimate relationship, 'Alanba' Arabic language daily said.

“When doctors told her employing Kuwait woman about the maid’s pregnancy, she was stunned,” the paper said.

“After giving birth at the hospital, the maid just disappeared and police are searching for her and for the baby’s father.”
