Man electrocuted by rain water in Saudi

A young Saudi man died after he was electrocuted when he walked into a small pit filled by rain water containing damaged power cables.

The man was talking with his friends on a road in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah when he stumbled across the pit during a thunderstorm.

“He was electrocuted and fell right on his face…we pulled him out and took him to the hospital but he was already dead,” his friend said, quoted by 'Ajel' newspaper.
