Man ends life on New Year

A 35-year-old Saudi man believed to be suffering from mental illness waited for the clock to tick for New Year, then went up to his rooftop and hanged himself.

Police, quoted by ‘Sabq’ daily, said his father told them that his son committed suicide because of psychological problems and that he was not accusing any one.

Police had rushed to the area in the southern Saudi town of Baha after receiving calls that a man was hanging on top of a house.
