Man fined Dh 30,000 for filming cop

A Saudi court fined a local man SR30,000 (Dh30,000) for filming a policeman carrying out his duty and posting the picture online, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The unnamed man confessed to taking a picture of the cop while he was on duty in a village near the Western town of Medina and posting the photograph on YouTube with criticizing words, the Arabic language daily ‘Al Riyadh’ said.

“The court in Medina fined him SR30,000 and made him give a statement pledging not to repeat it,” the paper said.
