Man fined for having porno photos in mobile

Saudi authorities seized a national and fined him SR3,000 after they found pornographic pictures in his mobile phone, a local daily said on Thursday.

Members of the feared Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice caught the man as he was sending those pictures to a friend via bluetooth in a shopping centre in the eastern town of Qatif, Kabar said.

“They fined him SR3,000 and released him on bail…He will later stand trial at the Qatif court,” the paper said.
