Man forces 16 housemaids into vice

Saudi police arrested a local man who locked up 16 Asian housemaids to force them into vice and other illegal activities, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

Police raided the man’s house in the Eastern province and freed the maids, who were forced to stay at that place after he seized their passports.

“The man was arrested while the maids were sent to the labour and social office for interrogation,” Alriyadh daily said, quoting police spokesman Colonel Ziad Al Rugaiti.
