Man held for photographing women in mosque

Saudi Arabia’s Islamic police arrested an Asian expatriate who used his mobile phone to photograph women while they were praying at a mosque, a newspaper in the Gulf kingdom reported on Monday.

Members of the feared Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice suspected the unnamed expatriate as he watched the mosque in the central town of Al Rass, 'Kabar' Arabic language daily said.

“When they tried to stop him, he ran away….after a chase, they captured the man and checked his mobile phone, which included many photographs of women praying at the mosque.”
