Man held for wearing 'satanist' shirt
Saudi Arabia’s Islamic police arrested an Arab expatriate for wearing a cross necklace and a shirt bearing Satanist logos, a newspaper in the Gulf kingdom reported on Wednesday.
The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice sent its men to a market in the southern town of Abha after receiving public calls about the “strange man wandering in the streets,” the online Arabic language daily 'Alhiad' said.
“They stopped the man and found that he was wearing a big cross around his neck and a shirt bearing Satanist logos…he was dressed in a disgusting way and also had strange tattoos drawn on his arms…the man was arrested and taken away,” it said.
