A Saudi court sentenced a South Korean man to four months in prison and published advertisements in local newspapers to defame the man for issuing a dud cheque.
Tee Lee was also fined by the court at the ministry of trade and industry after he was found guilty of giving a cheque without balance to a man in eastern Saudi Arabia.
Sabq newspaper published a copy of the letter sent by the ministry to local newspapers, entitled “defamation for committing a crime.”
