Man killed after falling in lift's chute

An Arab man died when he plunged into the lift’s chute in his building in Kuwait after he forced the door open when the elevator failed.

Police and civil defence found the man dead after he tried to climb out of the lift on the third floor, the Arabic language daily ‘Al Watan’ said.

“Police said the man plunged down into the lift’s chute after he got stuck inside and tried to climb out,” the paper said in a report from Kuwait City.
