Man kills wolf for killing dad’s sheep

A Saudi man killed a huge wolf in a battle in which he used sticks and rocks after the predator killed 12 sheep belonging to his father.

Faksan Mohammed said he was checking his father’s sheep in his farm in the southwestern town of Najran at dawn when he saw 12 of them dead.

“I then saw the wolf, who tried to attack me…it was very big so I used sticks and rocks to defend myself,” he told Alwatan daily.

“After I killed it, I decided to crucify on a signboard on the main road to avenge my father’s sheep,” he said, adding that the wolf had inflicted losses of more than SR15,000 worth of sheep over the past months.
