Man seeks ‘tooth for tooth’ damages for wife

A Saudi man wants health authorities to order the extraction of a tooth of a female dentist after accusing her of removing the wrong tooth from his wife.

The husband told the Saudi daily Alriyadh that his wife went to the dentist in the Eastern Ihsa province complaining of tooth ache.

“Although my wife had her teeth scanned, the doctor extracted the good tooth and left the bad one, inflicting nerve damages to my wife,” he said.

“I call on health authorities to order the removal of a tooth from that doctor’s mouth…if not, she must pay SR50,000 (Dh50,000) as damages.”
