A 16-year-old Saudi girl who left a letter for her family to meet her in heavens after she went missing last week was found alive. The news coincided with reports that a 12-year-old girl has vanished just after she stepped out of her house.

Rawan Al Shahrani was reported last week to have said goodbye to her school mates and vanished before her family said they found a letter left by her telling them to be good Moslems and saying she would see them in heavens.

“Police have found Rawan…she is at the police station in Riyadh and would be turned over to her family,” Sabq daily said without giving other details.

The girl’s family had announced a prize of SR100,000 (Dh98,000) to anyone who provides information leading to her whereabouts just a few hours after she went missing in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Thursday.

“Her family said they have just found a letter written by her telling them to keep praying…the letter also said’ see you in heavens,” Sabq said in a previous report.

The news about Shahrani coincided with reports that a little girl, identified as Reem, has been missing for nearly a week after leaving her house in the capital.

“She just stepped out of the house at around 8.00 pm last week and never returned…she has been a quiet girl who is committed to her family and society,” her father said, quoted by local newspapers.
