Nine men arrested for gang-rape of maid

Saudi police have arrested nine men who raped an Indonesian housemaid and left her in a deserted place in a serious condition, a local daily said Sunday.

One Saudi met the maid in Makkah and lured her to his house, where he raped her. He later forced her to come with him to the nearby central town of Taif, where he let his eight friends rape her at a shut rest house.

Police later found the unidentified maid in a serious condition in a deserted area near the town and took her to hospital, where she told them about the incident, Sharq Arabic language online daily reported.

“The maid told the police the rapists took her mobile phone…police managed to track the location of those men through the main’s mobile phone…they were all arrested and are under investigation pending trial,” the paper said.
