No 'Snapchat' please... at this wedding

Guests at a wedding in Saudi Arabia were surprised when they came face to face with a board at the house’s door telling them not to take pictures with their mobile phones.

“No pictures by mobile phones and no Snapchat please…you are welcome at my home and I have the freedom to keep my privacy,” the board said.

Sada newspaper said the board was installed by Rabeia Al Shaabi, the bride’s mother, at her home in the Southern Jazan province.

It quoted Shaabi as saying she took such a move after reports of massive privacy violations in the Saudi society through Snapchat and other mobile and online services.
