Old mum is dead… family given another body

A Saudi family which mourned the death of their old ill mother received a call from hospital two hours later saying the woman they have just buried was not their mother.

The family had earlier received a call from the nearby hospital in the central town of Wadi Al Dawasir telling them their mother had just died and asking them to come and collect her body from the hospital morgue.

After receiving the covered body, the family handed it over to the local undertaker for washing and taking burial procedures.

“We prayed for her and buried her in the local cemetery…two hours later, we received another call from the hospital saying the body was not for my mother,” her son Mabkhout bin Hadloul said, quoted by Sabq newspaper.

He said the hospital told them it was a mistake committed by the morgue worker and that they should come and collect the correct body.

“We asked the hospital about the body we have buried and they just replied that they do not know her family as no one has enquired about her.”
