Old Saudi goes to visit friends... does not return

An old Saudi man got into his car to visit his friends nearly 20 days ago but never returned home, his son was quoted on Saturday as saying.

Hassan bin Ali Al Akhrash from the Southern Saudi town of Sabya told his family that he would be at his friends place and would not be late but his mobile phone later went dead and there was no trace of the man.

“My father said he would visit his friends and come back soon that night…but his mobile phone later went dead and we lost all contacts with him,” his son Abdullah said, quoted by the Saudi Arabic language daily Sabq.

“It has been nearly 20 days now and there is no trace of my father…we contacted friends but they said they had not seen him…we are worried that he could have an accident or something…we informed the police who launched a search operation.”
