One killed, six injured after terrorist attack on security patrol in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Ministry of Interior said a security patrol was attacked by an explosive projectile on Sunday resulting in the death of a security officer and the wounding of six others.

A ministry spokesperson said that the men were attacked while carrying out duties in Al-Masoura district in Qatif governorate, according to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA.

Sergeant Mahdi bin Saeed Bin Dhafer Al-Yami lost his life and the injured were taken to hospital where their condition is said to be stable.

Security authorities have begun investigating the terrorist crime, added the spokesperson.
