Pakistan launches massive offensive again Daesh in Rajgal Valley

Pakistan's Army, with the support of the Pakistan Air Force, launched early Sunday a massive operation, known as Khyber-4, against terrorists hiding in the difficult hilly terrain of the Rajgal Valley in Khyber Agency, a tribal area in Pakistan.

According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, APP, the Director-General Inter Services Public Relations, Major General Asif Ghafoor said the operation in Rajgal Valley, a part of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, was part of the on-going "Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad" which targets small and large pockets of terrorist hideouts.

Addressing a press conference, Major General Asif Ghafoor added that Khyber-4 monitors terrorist activities in a neighbouring countries where DAESH already maintains its strongholds to carry out terrorist activities from across the border.

He said the Rajgal Valley, spreading over about 250 sq. km., has about 8 peaks, ranging from 12,000 feet to 14,000 feet, and is one of the most difficult terrains in the region.
