Passenger train damaged after hitting camel in Saudi Arabia

A passenger train was badly damaged after hitting a camel in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, the latest in a series of collisions between vehicles and stray camels.

No casualties were reported in the accident but officials said the train’s front was smashed as it is made of fiberglass.

The train was on its way from the capital Riyadh to the eastern province of Ihsa on Tuesday morning when it rammed into the camel.

“The train was not moving at high speed otherwise the damage could have been worse,” Ihsa News daily said without mentioning whether the camel was killed.
