Pedestrian bridge collapses in Saudi

A pedestrian bridge on a key street in Saudi Arabia collapsed during rush hours but there were no casualties, newspapers reported on Tuesday.

The collapse of the bridge in the southern town of Khamis Mushait only disrupted the road and caused a massive traffic jam that lasted for hours, they said.

They quoted police and the Saudi Red Crescent as saying no injuries were reported in the incident which happened at the end of the school day.
